At Hektor I was introduced to edible coffee cups! Would not have occurred to me, but seems like a way better way to address the problem of waste from single-use coffee cups.
It even tasted like real cardboard!
Scoring the week
Another round of accountability!
My 12 Week Plan, scheduled to end on the 16th of October, has a singular goal: reach a turnover of 5000 EUR for Decode Estonian.
Currently, I’m sitting at €1,864.65
, out of which €34.55
was earned in Week 33.
After ticket sales, the new income is from new paid subscribers on Substack, motivating me to write further.
The progress tracker is still here if you are curious about the details.
Week 33 also brings…a better execution score: 66.67%
instead of 58.33%.
That’s still only 2/3 of what I planned to do, which means my scheduling is still off.
Feelings
Making the first cold sales call was actually pretty scary and fun.
After the first person didn’t pick up, I was tempted to call it a day: “I did what I wanted and people aren’t always available, so let’s mark this as a success and that’s enough.”
But I didn’t stop there and continued to call the CEO of MoveMyTalent.
To my surprise, it was a really nice call!
Laura actually took five minutes to talk to me, offered to recommend my services to their clients, and generally wished me good luck with this project.
This felt super motivating!
Outcome
✅ Steady progress in tuning the presentation actually paid off: the presentation got done and the habit of doing just a little bit every day translated over into finally developing the new teaching materials I’ve been thinking about.
✅ Some things weren’t part of the plan but hopefully turn out useful: writing a proper sales page for the workshops and setting up all workshops for September on the ticketing website.
❌ Producing content wasn’t my strong suite this week: only one grammar post was written but that’s okay, because we already have 1 month worth of content scheduled 💪
