I move around a lot during the day, but 28k steps is a new maximum for just going about my existence without actively planning in movement.
Scoring the week
Another round of accountability!
My 12 Week Plan, scheduled to end on the 16th of October, has a singular goal: reach a turnover of 5000 EUR for Decode Estonian.
Currently, I’m sitting at €1,876.85
, out of which €12.20
was earned in Week 34.
The new income is from new paid subscribers on Substack (2).
The progress tracker is still here if you are curious about the details.
Week 34 also brings a worse execution score again: 50%
instead of 66.67%.
This week the low execution score actually reflects a change in plans:
I produced less content,
but finished the new sales page for the workshops,
and instead of making sales calls, I advertised the upcoming courses in my social network
Feelings
Reaching the 5k revenue goal in the next 6 weeks seems effectively out of reach.
I feel like 3k would have been a more realistic goal, especially since workshop tickets seem to sell erratically, with no discernable pattern.
Having scheduled three workshops in advance, I’m valuing the two free weekends I have before the workshops start a lot - it means that there’ll be effectively only one day during the week to fully recharge, at least until the end of November, which is challenging.
Building tooling for myself to keep track of execution also made me fall into a trap: I’d just copy the sheet for the current week to the next and wouldn’t check in with my original plan.
For week 6 I’ve changed the structure slightly to actually reflect planned activities accurately.
Outcome
✅ There’s a sales page now that doesn’t feel terrible. This is an important step because if somebody asks about the workshops, I can just send them there. Also, this is a great landing page for stickers or other kinds of physical advertising.
✅ I’m making steady progress in producing new teaching material, moving closer to the goal of being able to go through the full workshop without a computer.
⚙️ I finally found the motivation to actually build software to help people look up words and analyze sentences. This is more of a long-term project and something I want to do to keep my software development skills sharp.
