Travel threw me off my writing schedule, but that’s okay.
Hungary is a really strange place.
Can you name the place where this statue is located?
Scoring the week
Another round of accountability!
My 12 Week Plan, scheduled to end on the 16th of October, has a singular goal: reach a turnover of 5000 EUR for Decode Estonian.
Currently, I’m sitting at €2,386.99
, out of which €510.14
was earned in Week 35 and Week 36.
The new income is from paid subscriptions and a workshop held on Sunday the 10th of September.
The progress tracker is still here if you are curious about the details.
Week 36 also brings a great execution score: 75%
!
Rethinking what I needed to do actually helped with picking actionable items and just getting started executing those.
Feelings
👆 the hole I dug for myself.
Reaching the 5k (about ~2.6k EUR left) revenue goal in the next 5 weeks seems effectively out of reach.
Let’s do the math: until the 16th of October there are 5 Sundays left.
A fully sold-out workshop, assuming the cheapest pricing for attendants yields:
Super Early Bird tickets: 2 * 79 EUR = 158 EUR
Early Bird tickets: 2 * 89 EUR = 178 EUR
Regular tickets: 2 * 99 EUR = 198 EUR
Total: 534 EUR
So if I manage to sell all of the workshops by the 15th of October, that’d be: 2670 EUR.
Okay, I’m actually surprised now.
I thought the goal was out of reach, but turns out it is not!
Now it’s just a matter of sales.
Outcome
✅ Sunday’s workshop went well - feedback from the participants was overwhelmingly positive, plus I got a constructive suggestion about how to make the slides work better 💪
✅ Face-to-face sales approaching people on the street / in cafés is easier than reaching out through virtual channels for me.
❌ Working on new reference material is frustrating - layouting things in Canva is finicky (which means I’m probably doing it wrong), and after spending a lot of time on producing something, I realized that I should have been working on a different kind of teaching aid.
